of volcanic Mount Mazama over 7000 years ago. Each year, thousands of visitors
are drawn to Crater
Lake National Park featuring the lake in the middle of a crater that is over
6 mi (10 km) wide. Guests of the park enjoy driving around the scenic rim of the
crater, boating, camping and hiking in the summer, while the winter affords cross-country
skiing opportunities. The Klamath
Country Fairgrounds & Event Center hosts exhibitons, events, rodeos and concerts
in the area, including the Klamath
County Fair & Carnival. On the shore of Upper Klamath Lake, Klamath
Falls provides a perfect base for birdwatching, whitewater rafting and spelunking.
Also in Klamath Falls, golfers appreciate the Running
